Possible Christmas walk in the Peak District
by JohnH

Hi, I'm coming down to the Peak District from Friday 13th to Monday 16th Dec. and I'm wondering if anyone is interested in a walk on either the Saturday or the Sunday? And if there's sufficient interest we coud look at a place for a Christmas meal.
People who were on my last Peak District walk will remember that I was really struggling due to pain in my left leg. I'm now on a new regime of painkillers and I can now do decent hill walks so the pain will be under control and I'll be able to lead the walk OK.
Hope to hear from some of you, especially some of the new members.

Hi John,
RCRoland_CI could meet you for a walk on the Saturday 14 December. I may just drive each way for the day (about 1.5 hours each way) or perhaps an overnight stay.
Best Regards,
Roland
Roland_C: Hi Roland, that would be great and depending on responses I'd be happy to lead a walk on both the Saturday and the Sunday as I'll be there for the full weekend
I'd love to join you but family arrive for Christmas that weekend. Hopefully arrange something in the Lakes in the New Year.
Wild Adventuress: some time in January for the Lakes would suit me as I'm booked in for a TKR for my left knee on 4th Feb, so I'll be out of action till some time in late March.
JohnH: I'll take a look at my diary, but won't plan a, whole week for January unless others can offer walks too!!!
Wild Adventuress: Hi Penny, I'll start a new forum for potential walks in the Lake District during January and we can see what we get
on 07/12/24 @ 12:24This has now gone out to specific Invitations for Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th
JohnH: Best wishes for your hip and knee total replacement operations and hope you have a speedy recovery from both.
PhPhiltheetilerPhiltheetiler: Thanks Phil, they've now determined that it's just my knee and I'm getting the operation on 4th Feb 2025 so I should be out and about again by the Spring, thanks again, John
