Hotel is now charging £1182/week. I am still charging £380/week B&B. This isn’t too good to be true because it is true. I will cancel the 2 remaining rooms on Nov 15th if not taken.
Itinerary
24th December. From airport take the metro Vemillion train. Get off at Alameda. Then change to the green train. Southbound first stop is Arroios. Hotel is 2 minutes walk from the station. Warning there is a Do Chile Hotel and a Do Chile hostel. You need the hotel. We will need to book restaurants for Christmas eve and Christmas day. Has anyone any dietary requirements or doesn't eat certain ethnic foods. Restaurants from all over the world available.
25th December. Tony's tour of Lisbon centre. Takes in bars cafes, castles, churches, trams, funicular railways, the historic Tagus water front. Comfy shoes required as Lisbon has many cobbled streets.
26th December. Sintra palaces, castles, hills and forests. 09.45 train from Roma Areeeio station. Return 17.50 train. We can bus, taxi or walk from the hotel to the station. Train costs 2.3 Euros one way.

28th Azaetao wine trip. We can either catch the bus to Sete Rios bus station 726 bus form near the hotel. Alternatively take the metro to alcantara bus station. Either way we need the 4730 bus. Will leave seteRios at 09.47, Alcatara at 9.55. Return 17.21. I would suggest Sete Rios as it is only 3km from the hotel. 726 bus or shared taxi to get to the bus station.

Note your hotel will be paid in advance but you will have to pay tourist tax on arrival. Will be about 14 Euros for the week.
5/6/23 IMPORTANT. Anyone going on this trip the flights to Lisbon are increasing. Cheapest basic cost from Manchester now £141 and that is for a flight reurning at 23.50. Most flights are around £180 to £250 basic cost. Prices from London airports now £170 to £250.
Anybody wanting a special Christmas in good company in an exciting city with lots to do? Sorry no stuffing yourself and falling asleep in front of the tele. This year I have reserved several rooms in a hotel in Lisbon. I managed to obtain a 20% discount and breakfast included in the price of £380 per double luxury room for single or double occupancy. There are also less luxurious single rooms for £340 but I haven't reserved these as yet. I will see what the demand is.
A full programme of excursions is planned which includes the hills and palaces af Sintra (see photo), the wild Atlantic coast, the wine growing area South of Lisbon (I can book a tour of a winery if there is enough demand) as well as tours of the city. Two more potential excursions. Fatima pilgrimage site, home of the miracle of Fatima and Narare where we can see the world's largest waves, up to 100ft in height.
Lisbon has lots to offer from historic churches and castles, the quaint old quarter, fabulous shops, bars and restuarants. For foodies there is Time Out, a global food market with restaurants serving every type of food you can imagine and some you can't. There are the quirky old trams and two funicular railways for those who don't want to walk up the numerous hills. Entertaining is far cheaper than in Britain. Beer about 3 Euros/pint, wine around 3 Euros per glass, Coffee about 1.5 Euros a cup and far better than the Costa stuff. Getting around is cheap quick and easy using buses, trams and trains. Everything is open even on Xmas day.
Flights to Lisbon from Manchester are about £130 return at the moment. From London they are even lower.
